THIS IS A TEST

Psalms 66:2-4, 10, 13-14 NIV‬
[2] Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious. [3] Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. [4] All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.”
[10] For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
[13] I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you— [14] vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.

¶Here is the test: do I praise you God for everything? I will surely look back to see how secure were all Your purposes, how closely I have been held in Your hand, how timely were the deliverances You brought me through that I was never even aware of, how generous were the secret prayers and sacrifices of friends and loved ones? How can I but say thanks then? Can I import enough of the "not yet" into the "already" to rejoice now in what will be obvious then, to shout for joy, to sing of Your glory, to make Your praise glorious. Can I, not to hasten my escape from, but to glory in, my afflictions, that "though I don't see him now, believe in him and rejoice with joy inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of [my] faith, the salvation of my soul"?(1Peter1:8-9)
