DROPPING THE NAME

But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
Matthew 5:34‭-‬35 ESV

¶What then of the many who will come in God's name saying "God spoke to me and said..."? Is that presumption? What if it is accompanied by a strong feeling of certainty? Would you swear an oath to it? If not, better just to judge whether its consistent with Scripture, use your best judgement, and trust the results to a sovereign God.
