NO PARTIALITY

"15 "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor."
- Leviticus 19:15 ESV
¶Is showing partiality to the poor really a big problem? It seems like showing favoritism to the rich and powerful is a bigger problem. If we see how the someone rich spends their money on a big house and fancy car, we may remember some sacrifice we've made and want to compare ourselves. But what God wants from us isn’t to become judgmental of the rich and syrupy sappy with the poor, certainly not because of choices we've made for His sake. What He wants is justice, and He alone is the measure of that.
