BORN AGAIN DIRT
"Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?' or 'Your work has no handles'? Isaiah 45:9 ESV
¶What is man himself but the lump of earth into which God breathed life? The rationality which man uses to question God's ways is itself endued within him by his Creator. Yet the darkness in which we dwell is not from the application of reason, but from the lack of it. When first we began laboring to judge God, and to place ourselves over Him as the arbiter of His ways, reason reached a dead end. We are now controlled not by reason, but by sin. The God who created all things, and holds them together by the word of His power, is still in charge. Creation sings of it. The Psalms echo it. Wise men from Job to Solomon to Isaiah to Paul acknowledge it. By faith, delivered from sin, we realize it. This comforts me.
