¶Amidst the most severe persecution this world has to throw against it, what keeps Jesus's church alive and growing? Not persuasive argument, but patient endurance. Astounding, isn't it, that so many would, if forced to choose, prefer to be absent from the body and at home with the Lord. Tertullian’s truth “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church” comes ringing through at a time when Christians are being hunted down and beheaded for their faith.
