WHEN THE AUTHOR WRITES HIMSELF INTO THE STORY
The Lord reigns,
let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Fire goes before
him and burns up his adversaries all around. His lightnings light up
the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax
before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. Zion hears and is
glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O
Lord. Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
Psalm 97:1, 3-5, 8, 11 ESV
¶It
may be hard to see the reasons to rejoice what with all the fire going
forth and the mountains melting before Him. But when the Author writes
Himself into the story, it is worth noticing how He conducts Himself.
For this we look to Jesus.
