GONE WITH THE WIND

For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 ESV

¶There is only One who has pleased God in all His ways, "namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Col 2:3) We need His covering for our sins. Any "gathering and collecting" we do for our own account, based on our own merit, is wood, hay, and stubble. It returns to dust, and is taken away by the wind.
