FAITH FULLY FORMED

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Psalm 91:9‭-‬12 ESV

¶When tempted with this very verse by the devil, Jesus models for us the meaning of Deuteronomy 6:16 to not put this promise to the test (Matthew 4:6). Fully formed faith is expressed by Daniel's friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who, when faced with the blazing furnace, replied to King Nebuchadnezzar, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it... but even if he does not, ...we will not serve your gods." (Daniel 3:16-18)
