ECCLESIASTES' BACK COVER
The wind blows to the south and turns to the
north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All
streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the
streams come from, there they return again.
Ecclesiastes 1:6-7 NIV
¶What
does the wind seek but to blow? What does the stream seek but to flow
down to the sea? What should men seek but to do their work and enjoy it?
What others of God's creation demand to know more than that? By
observing the world around him, Solomon is mining for meaning. Why? Why
must our lives have meaning? These are the kinds of questions that would
be on the back cover if Ecclesiastes were to come out in book form.
Solomon was not only wise, but he was curious. Are you? Lets read and
find out.
