¶"Surely Jerusalem, at least Jerusalem, the place of my dwelling, would fear me". Uzzah presumed to touch the Ark of the Covenant and was struck down. Even Jerusalem, the dwelling place of God's holy presence, when it neglects to fear and obey God, joins the nations in experiencing God's wrath and purifying judgement.
